North Toledo Bend WMA is a 3,650-acre public hunting and camping area in Shelby County, managed by Texas Parks and Wildlife.

North Toledo Bend WMA is in Shelby County along Toledo Bend Reservoir. It covers 3,650 acres and is open year-round. You can hunt, fish, camp, hike, ride horses, and watch wildlife here. The Sabine River Authority of Texas manages it under a license agreement with TPWD.

To hunt here, you need a valid Texas hunting license. You also need the right tags, stamps, and a public hunting permit. TPWD sells several permit types. The Annual Public Hunting Permit is a flexible choice that covers many areas.

There are no restrooms on the property. Bring your own drinking water. Summer heat and humidity are very intense. Plan ahead for both. Check TPWD's website for current permit rules and any seasonal limits before your trip.
