Two offices handle property tax here. The Ellis County Appraisal District (ECAD) decides what your property is worth each year. The Tax Assessor-Collector office then sends your tax bill and collects payment. They are separate offices with different addresses.

ECAD is at 400 Ferris Ave. in Waxahachie. The tax office is at 302 N. Monroe St. If you want to dispute your value, contact ECAD. If you want to pay your bill or ask about exemptions already approved, contact the tax office. Mixing them up can cost you time.
