Two Offices Handle Property Taxes in Martin County

Martin County has two separate offices for property taxes — one sets your value, the other collects your bill.

The Martin County Appraisal District figures out what your property is worth. It also handles exemption applications. It is at 308 N. St. Peter in Stanton. You go here to protest your value or apply for a homestead exemption.

A separate office, the Martin County Tax Assessor-Collector, sends your tax bill and collects payment. It is at 301 N. Saint Peter St. in Stanton. If you have a question about your bill amount or payment, contact the tax office. If you think your property value is wrong, contact the appraisal district. Knowing which office to call saves time.
