The Bridgeport Falls Paddling Trail Runs Through Wise County

TPWD's Bridgeport Falls Paddling Trail offers a designated canoe and kayak route near Lake Bridgeport.

The Bridgeport Falls Paddling Trail is one of the Texas Paddling Trails designated by TPWD. It runs on the West Fork of the Trinity River near Lake Bridgeport in Wise County. These are not whitewater runs. They are calm, flat-water routes on rivers, creeks, or lake channels. Each trail has marked spots where you put in and take out your canoe or kayak.

Water levels can change with the seasons and with releases from the lake. Low water can make some sections hard to paddle. Always check conditions before you go out.

TPWD's website has current conditions and access details for all designated paddling trails in Texas, including the Bridgeport Falls trail.
