Hunting Seasons in Concho County
Concho County sits in the North Zone for deer and turkey and the Central Zone for dove — check current TPWD dates and limits before you hunt.
Concho County falls in the white-tailed deer North Zone. The general limit has been 5 deer per season with no more than 2 bucks. Turkey rules put the county in the North Zone as well, with both fall and spring seasons. Dove hunters follow Central Zone rules, with a combined daily bag of 15 birds. Quail and javelina seasons also apply here.
Seasons and bag limits change each year. Always check the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's Outdoor Annual for the current rules before you go. A valid Texas hunting license is required. Most hunting in Concho County is on private land — you need written permission from the landowner.
