Two offices handle your property tax in Crane County

Crane County has a separate appraisal district and tax office — they do different jobs, and you may need to contact both.

Crane County Money & Taxes

The Crane County Appraisal District decides what your property is worth for tax purposes. It does not collect taxes. You can reach the appraisal district at cranecad.org or by calling 432-558-1021. If you think your value is wrong, you protest with the appraisal district, not the tax office.

The Crane County Tax Assessor-Collector actually sends bills and collects payment. That office is at 201 W. 6th St., Suite 111, in Crane. The county's website is co.crane.tx.us. Several taxing units pull from the same appraisal roll: Crane County, Crane ISD, City of Crane, the Hospital District, the Water District, and ESD #1. Check the Texas Comptroller's county directory for the current contact list.
