The Jones County Appraisal District sets the value of your property. It is located at 1137 E. Court Plaza in Anson. If you disagree with your property value or need to apply for an exemption, this is the office to contact. Their phone is 325-823-2422 and their website is jonescad.org.

The Tax Assessor-Collector is a separate office at 101 Courthouse Square, also in Anson. That office handles vehicle registration and some other county business, but according to the Texas Comptroller, it does not collect property taxes. Property tax payments go to the appraisal district directly. Always confirm the current process with jonescad.org before sending a payment.
