Feral hogs (wild pigs)
No season, no limit, and often no license.
Texas has millions of wild hogs, so the rules are built to make them easy to hunt.

Season(s) (2026-2027)

License & add-ons
On private land with the landowner's okay, no hunting license is needed — resident or non-resident (from a 2019 law, SB 317). On public land you still need a license, and hunter education still applies.
Quirks & things to watch
- Night hunting is allowed (see Methods). As a courtesy, let your local game warden know.
