Two offices handle your property taxes
In Henderson County, one office sets your property value and a separate office collects your tax bill.
The Henderson County Appraisal District sets the taxable value of your home or land. They are at 1751 Enterprise St. in Athens. Call them at 903-675-9296 or email hendersoncad@hcadtx.org.
The Henderson County Tax Assessor-Collector handles the actual tax bills and payments. That office is at 125 N. Prairieville St., Suite 103, Athens. Phone: 903-675-6134. If you disagree with your value, you protest at the appraisal district, not the tax office. Deadlines change, so check both offices each year.
