Deer hunting rules for Eastland County
Eastland County falls under Texas Parks and Wildlife rules that limit deer harvest and set season dates you need to know before you hunt.
For the 2025-26 season, hunters in Eastland County may take up to 4 deer total, with no more than 2 bucks and no more than 2 antlerless deer across all seasons combined. Of those bucks, only one may have an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. General season runs November 1 through January 4. There are also archery-only and youth-only periods.
Season dates and bag limits can change year to year. Always check the current TPWD Outdoor Annual before you hunt. You need a valid Texas hunting license plus any required endorsements. Archery hunters need a separate archery endorsement. If a private landowner participates in the MLDP program, different tag rules may apply on that property.
