Deer hunting in Mills County has antler restrictions

Mills County falls under Texas Parks and Wildlife Department North Zone deer rules, which include a buck antler restriction.

Mills County is in TPWD's North Zone for white-tailed deer. The general limit is five deer total per season, with no more than two bucks across all seasons combined. There is an antler restriction: only one of those bucks may have an inside antler spread of 13 inches or greater. The second buck must be a spike or have a spread under 13 inches.

Season dates and limits can change each year. Always check the TPWD Outdoor Annual for the current season before you hunt. Hunters must also report turkey harvests — mandatory harvest reporting applies in this county. Seasons, bag limits, and required licenses are listed by county on the TPWD website.
