Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) sells fishing licenses online, by phone, or at about 1,700 stores across the state. You can get a digital license on your phone — no paper copy needed. To fish saltwater in Nueces County, you need a basic license plus a saltwater fishing endorsement. Both can be bought at the same time.

The TPWD Outdoor Annual lists all bag limits, size limits, and open seasons for fish in local bays and the Gulf. Limits and seasons can change from year to year. Always check the current Outdoor Annual before you head out.
