Deer, Pheasant, and Quail Hunting in Randall County
Randall County sits in Texas Panhandle hunting territory with seasons for white-tailed deer, mule deer, pheasant, quail, dove, and waterfowl.
White-tailed deer hunters in Randall County can take up to 3 deer per season, with no more than 1 buck. Mule deer season in the Panhandle is shorter, with a 1-buck limit and a minimum 20-inch outside spread rule during general season. Pheasant season runs in December through early January with a daily bag of 3 cocks. Quail season runs from November through late February with a daily bag of 15.
Seasons and bag limits change each year. Always check the current TPWD Outdoor Annual before you hunt. Some species, like pheasant and quail, require an Upland Game Bird Endorsement on top of your basic hunting license. Waterfowl hunters also need a Federal Duck Stamp.
