What You Can Hunt in Hall County
Hall County offers a wide range of hunting seasons, including mule deer, white-tailed deer, pheasant, quail, dove, and waterfowl.
Hall County is in the Texas Panhandle, which means it falls under Panhandle-zone rules for several species. Mule deer hunters have both archery and general seasons. White-tailed deer have their own seasons under North Zone rules. Pheasant season runs in December through early January with a three-rooster daily limit. Quail season runs from November through February. Dove hunting opens September 1 in the North Zone.
Waterfowl hunters will find duck, goose, teal, and sandhill crane seasons in Hall County as well. Seasons, bag limits, and zones change from year to year. Always check the current Texas Outdoor Annual on the TPWD website before you go. A valid Texas hunting license is required.
