Wilbarger County Has a Long Hunting Season List

Wilbarger County falls in multiple TPWD hunting zones, allowing deer, quail, dove, duck, pheasant, turkey, and more depending on season.

Wilbarger County is in the North Zone for white-tailed deer and turkey. The general deer season typically runs November through early January, with a bag limit of five deer and no more than two bucks. Quail season runs statewide from November through late February with a daily bag limit of 15. Pheasant season applies in the Panhandle zone. Dove, duck, sandhill crane, and javelina seasons also apply here.

Most migratory bird hunting requires federal endorsements and HIP certification. Turkey harvest must be reported through the TPWD app or website. Seasons and bag limits change year to year. Always confirm current rules on the TPWD Outdoor Annual before heading out.
