The Army Corps of Engineers Runs Parks All Around Lake Lavon

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages more than a dozen parks and boat ramps around Lake Lavon. Most are free and open to the public.

Parks around Lake Lavon include Twin Groves, Caddo Park, Elm Creek, Lakeland Park, Tickey Creek, Pebble Beach, Little Ridge, Mallard Park, Lavonia Park, Clear Lake Park, Bratonia Park, Highland Park, Brockdale Park, Collin Park, East Fork Park, and Avalon Park. Access points are spread along US 380, Texas 78, FM 982, FM 3286, FM 546, and other roads.

Some parks are open year-round and free. Others charge a fee or have seasonal hours. High water or flood damage can close boat ramps without warning. Call the Corps of Engineers office at (972) 442-3141 before making a trip. This is especially important after heavy rain.
