Longhorn Cavern State Park is a day-use cave park in Burnet County with guided tours open almost every day of the year.

Longhorn Cavern State Park sits at 6211 Park Road 4 S., Burnet. It is a day-use-only park — there is no camping on site. Visitors who want to camp overnight should book at nearby Inks Lake State Park instead. The park grounds are open daily except December 25.

The main attraction is cave tours, which are managed through VisitLonghornCavern.com. Tour schedules and ticket prices change, so check that site or call park headquarters at 512-715-9000 before you visit. The cave formed in limestone and has a long human history, used at various times as a natural shelter. Guided tours are the only way to see the interior.
