Martin Dies Jr. State Park on B.A. Steinhagen Reservoir in Jasper County offers camping, fishing, paddling, and hiking in a bottomland forest setting.

Martin Dies Jr. State Park is located at 634 Park Road 48 South, Jasper, TX 75951. The park sits where the Neches and Angelina rivers meet B.A. Steinhagen Reservoir. TPWD describes the setting as the edge of the Big Thicket in East Texas.

The park has over 200 campsites, most with water and electric hookups, as well as screened shelters and cabin rentals. Activities include paddling on nearly 14 miles of marked water trails, fishing, hiking, swimming, and ranger-led programs. The daily entrance fee for adults is $4; children 12 and under are free.
