Who handles your property tax in Cass County

The Cass County Appraisal District decides what your property is worth for tax purposes. It is based at 502 N. Main St. in Linden. You go there to protest a valuation, apply for exemptions, or ask why your assessed value changed. Their website is casscad.org.

A separate office — the Cass County Tax Assessor-Collector — sends your tax bill and collects payment. That office is at 604 Hwy. 8 N. in Linden. The two offices are different stops for different tasks. If you think your value is wrong, start with the appraisal district, not the tax office.
