Who Handles Your Property Tax in Fisher County
Two separate offices handle property taxes in Fisher County — one appraises your property's value and one collects the tax.
The Fisher County Appraisal District sets the taxable value of all property in the county. It is located in Roby at 107 E. North 1st St. The chief appraiser's office handles exemption applications, agricultural special appraisals, and value protests.
The Tax Assessor-Collector is a separate office at 100 N. Concho St., also in Roby. That office handles payments and billing. If you have a dispute about your property's value, contact the appraisal district, not the tax office. Check each office's website for current deadlines, since exemption filing and protest windows change yearly.
