Two offices handle property tax in Menard County

The Menard County Appraisal District sets your property value, while the county Tax Assessor-Collector handles billing and payment.

Menard County Money & Taxes

These are two separate offices. The Menard County Appraisal District (CAD) appraises all taxable property in the county. If you think your value is wrong, you file a protest with the CAD. Their office is at 110 Bevans Street in Menard.

The Tax Assessor-Collector handles tax bills and payments. That office is at 206 E. San Saba Ave. If you want to apply for a homestead exemption, file that form with the CAD. A homestead exemption can lower the taxable value of your main home. The Texas Comptroller lists both offices with current contact info.
