Property Tax
Who handles your property taxes in Navarro County
Two separate offices handle property taxes: one sets your value, and a different one collects the bill.
In Navarro County, the Navarro Central Appraisal District (CAD) sets the appraised value of your property. It does not collect taxes. The Tax Assessor-Collector is the office that actually sends bills and takes payments. Both offices are in Corsicana.
If you think your value is too high, you protest with the appraisal district — not the tax office. The general deadline to file a protest is May 1 each year, but check with the CAD directly because dates can shift. The appraisal district website is www.navarrocad.com. The county tax office website is www.co.navarro.tx.us.
