Two Offices Handle Your Property Tax in Willacy County

One office sets your property value; a separate office sends the bill and collects payment.

In Willacy County, two offices handle property taxes. The Willacy County Appraisal District (WCAD) decides what your property is worth for tax purposes. It is located at 688 FM 3168 in Raymondville. The Tax Assessor-Collector is a separate office at 192 N. 3rd Street in Raymondville. That office sends bills and collects what you owe.

If you think your property value is too high, you dispute it with the appraisal district, not the tax office. The general deadline to file an exemption application is before May 1 each year. Check the appraisal district website or call them to confirm current deadlines and rates, which change yearly.
