Property Tax
Thirteen taxing units can appear on your tax bill
Your Uvalde County property tax bill may include charges from up to thirteen different taxing entities, not just the county.
The Texas Comptroller lists thirteen active taxing units in Uvalde County. They include the county government, six independent school districts, two cities, and four special districts. Each unit sets its own tax rate.
Your total bill is the sum of all the rates that apply to your specific parcel. A home inside the City of Uvalde and in the Uvalde CISD will have a different total than rural land in a different school district. Check the Tax Transparency page at the Uvalde CAD website to see which units apply to your property and what their current rates are.
