Thirteen taxing units can appear on your tax bill

The Texas Comptroller lists thirteen active taxing units in Uvalde County. They include the county government, six independent school districts, two cities, and four special districts. Each unit sets its own tax rate.

Your total bill is the sum of all the rates that apply to your specific parcel. A home inside the City of Uvalde and in the Uvalde CISD will have a different total than rural land in a different school district.
