Private water wells are common in rural Navarro County

Many rural properties in Navarro County rely on private groundwater wells, and buyers should research well records before purchasing.

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) keeps records of water wells drilled across the state, including Navarro County. Before buying rural land, you can search the TWDB database to find well logs for your area. Well logs show the depth, formation, and water quality details recorded at the time of drilling.

TCEQ also runs an online Water Well Report Viewer with historical data on more than 800,000 wells in Texas. If your property is in an area served by a groundwater conservation district, that district may also have records. Check both the TWDB and TCEQ sites to get the most complete picture of what's underground.
