Two Offices Handle Your Property Tax in Williamson County

The appraisal district sets your property's value; the tax office collects the money — and they are separate offices.

Williamson County has two different offices for property tax. The Williamson Central Appraisal District (WCAD) decides what your property is worth. A separate office — the Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector — sends your bill and takes your payment.

If you think your value is too high, you protest with WCAD, not the tax office. WCAD is at 625 FM 1460 in Georgetown. Check wcad.org for deadlines and forms. The tax office is at 904 S. Main St., Georgetown, and handles payments, vehicle registration, and related services.
