Burn Bans in Unincorporated Travis County

If you live outside any city in Travis County, burn bans from the Commissioners Court apply to you. During a ban, you cannot burn limbs, leaves, or straw — even from your own property. Enclosed outdoor cooking is still allowed. So is welding or cutting if you follow the right procedures.

You can never burn discarded tires, old furniture, or yard waste brought in from other properties (like a lawn care business).
