Check DriveTexas Before Traveling During Storms

The state's DriveTexas website shows real-time road closures, weather alerts, and traffic cameras across Dallas County and North Texas.

When severe weather, ice storms, or flooding hit Dallas County, road conditions can change fast. The Texas Department of Transportation runs DriveTexas at drivetexas.org. The site has a live map showing road closures, alerts, and traffic cameras.

This tool is especially useful on I-35E, I-20, I-30, and the Trinity River corridor. Those roads can flood after heavy rain. Never drive through a flooded roadway. The water may be deeper than it looks, and the road surface below may be washed out. Turn around, don't drown. Bookmark drivetexas.org before storm season.
