Deer Hunting Rules Differ on Each Side of I-35 in Williamson County

TPWD sets different white-tailed deer bag limits for the east and west sides of Interstate 35 in Williamson County.

East of I-35, the bag limit for white-tailed deer is 4 deer per season — no more than 2 bucks and no more than 2 antlerless. West of I-35, the limit is 5 deer total with no more than 2 bucks and no separate antlerless cap. In both zones, only one of those two bucks may have an inside antler spread of 13 inches or greater.

Season dates and rules change annually. Always check the current Outdoor Annual before hunting. Hunting in Williamson County is almost entirely on private land, so you also need landowner permission. See tpwd.texas.gov for current regulations.
