Deer Hunting Rules in Coryell County
Coryell County has specific antler restrictions for white-tailed deer, and seasons run from fall into January.
Hunters in Coryell County may take up to 5 deer total per season, with no more than 2 bucks. Antler restrictions apply: only one of those two bucks may have an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. A legal buck must have at least one unbranched antler or an inside spread of 13 inches or more. Turkey hunters may take up to 4 birds.
Archery season typically opens in late September. General season runs from November through early January, with a youth-only late season in mid-January. Seasons and limits can change year to year. Always confirm current rules at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department website before you go out.
