Deer Hunting Rules in Jack County
Jack County has a specific antler restriction for white-tailed deer that hunters must know before heading out.
In Jack County, you can take up to 5 deer total per season, but no more than 2 bucks. Only one of those bucks can have an inside antler spread of 13 inches or greater. The other legal buck must have an unbranched antler.
Archery season typically opens in late September. General season runs November through early January. There are also youth-only seasons. Wild turkey, quail, squirrel, and dove are also huntable in this county. Check the TPWD Outdoor Annual for current season dates and any updates before you go. Regulations can change year to year.
