Deer hunting in Kendall County follows North Zone rules

Kendall County is in the TPWD North Zone, where hunters may take up to five deer per season with no more than two bucks.

Texas Parks and Wildlife sets deer seasons by zone. Kendall County falls in the North Zone. For the 2025-2026 season, the bag limit is five deer total, with no more than two bucks, counting all seasons combined. General season runs from November 1, 2025 through January 4, 2026. Archery season opens in late September.

Turkey, dove, quail, javelina, and squirrel seasons also apply in Kendall County. Turkey harvest must be reported after each kill — you can do it through the TPWD mobile app or website. Seasons and bag limits change annually; always check the current Outdoor Annual before you go out.
