Texas requires a hunting or fishing license for most people, and you can get one online from TPWD.
Anyone 17 or older who wants to fish in Texas needs a valid fishing license. Hunting also requires a license, and certain animals need additional stamps or permits. One example: shore fishing in any Texas state park, including McKinney Falls, does not require a license.
