Lake Georgetown is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake on the North Fork of the San Gabriel River, about 3.5 miles northwest of Georgetown, with camping, boating, and fishing.
Lake Georgetown sits on the North Fork of the San Gabriel River in western Williamson County. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers owns and operates the lake and dam. The lake serves as a water supply for Georgetown and Round Rock and also provides flood control.
The lake is open to the public for fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. Fees and hours can change seasonally, so check with the Corps of Engineers for current conditions. The lake is one of the main outdoor recreation spots available directly in the county.
