Lake Livingston Covers Part of San Jacinto County

Lake Livingston, a large reservoir on the Trinity River, spans San Jacinto County and offers fishing, boating, and camping.

Lake Livingston covers about 90,000 acres across Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, and Walker counties. The dam sits in Polk and San Jacinto counties. It is one of the larger reservoirs near Houston. The lake is known for white bass and blue catfish. Largemouth bass, crappie, and striped bass are also caught here.

Texas Parks and Wildlife manages fishing access with several public boat ramps around the lake. A Texas fishing license is required. Check the TPWD lake page for current access points, fish surveys, and any special regulations before you go.
