Where to Handle Property Tax in Llano County

Two separate offices handle property appraisal and tax collection in Llano County, and knowing the difference saves you a wasted trip.

The Llano County Appraisal District sets the value of your property. It does not collect taxes. Its office is at 103 E. Sandstone St. in Llano. You go there to apply for exemptions or to protest your appraised value. The chief appraiser runs that office. Their website is llanocad.net.

The Tax Assessor-Collector is a separate office. That office sends your tax bill and takes your payment. Its address is 100 W. Sandstone St. in Llano, just down the block. You can also reach it at taxinfo@co.llano.tx.us. For current rates and deadlines, check the county website or the Texas Comptroller's county directory page.
