Two offices handle your property tax in Andrews County

Andrews County splits property tax work between the Appraisal District (values your property) and two separate tax offices (collect the bills).

When you own property in Andrews County, two separate offices touch your tax bill. The Andrews County Appraisal District (ACAD) determines what your property is worth and handles exemption applications. It is located at 600 N. Main St. and does not collect money. The Texas Comptroller lists ACAD's chief appraiser contact at chiefappraiser@andrewscad.org, phone 432-523-9111.

Two tax collector offices actually send bills and take payment. The Andrews County Tax Assessor-Collector (Robin Harper, 210 NW 2nd St., 432-524-1409) collects for the county and county road and bridge. The Andrews ISD Tax Assessor-Collector collects for the school district, hospital district, and city — that office shares a building with ACAD at 600 N. Main.

If you think your appraised value is wrong, protest with the Appraisal District, not a tax office. If you need to pay or set up an installment plan, contact the appropriate tax collector. Both offices serve unincorporated land and property inside Andrews city limits.
