Two Offices Handle Your Property Tax in Ector County
The appraisal district sets your property value; the tax assessor-collector handles payments — they are two separate offices.
Ector County has two separate offices for property taxes. The Ector County Appraisal District (ECAD) sets the value of your property. It is located at 1301 E. 8th St. in Odessa. You contact ECAD if you think your value is wrong or want to apply for an exemption.
A different office, the Tax Assessor-Collector, handles actual tax bills and payments. That office is at 1010 E. 8th St., Room 100, Odessa. Knowing which office to call saves time. ECAD can be reached at 432-332-6834 and the tax assessor at 432-498-4055.
