Two Different Offices Handle Your Property Taxes
Grayson County splits property tax duties between two offices, and knowing which one to call saves you time.
The Grayson Central Appraisal District sets the value of your property. That value is what taxes are based on. Their office is at 512 N. Travis St. in Sherman. You go here to protest a value, apply for exemptions, or ask about appraisal rules.
A separate office, the Grayson County Tax Assessor-Collector, sends the tax bills and collects payment. Their office is at 100 W. Houston St. in Sherman. You go here to pay your bill or ask about a tax notice. These are two different offices with two different phone numbers.
