Two Offices Handle Property Tax in Nacogdoches County

The appraisal district values your property, but a separate tax office handles billing — and these two offices have different addresses and phone numbers.

Nacogdoches County has two separate offices for property tax. The Nacogdoches County Appraisal District (NCAD) sets your property's value. It is at 216 W. Hospital St. in Nacogdoches. Call them at 936-560-3447 or visit nacocad.org. If you think your value is too high, you protest with NCAD.

The Tax Assessor-Collector's office is at 101 W. Main St., Suite 100. Their phone is 936-560-7767. One important note: this tax office does not collect property taxes at all. The appraisal district handles property tax collection for the county. There are 20 taxing units in the county. Check the Texas Comptroller's county directory to see the full list.
