Property Tax: Two Offices, Not One
Oldham County splits property tax work between two offices, and knowing which does what saves you a wasted trip.
The Oldham County Appraisal District sets the value of your property. It handles exemptions too — things like homestead, over-65, and disabled veteran. Their office is at 909 Vega Blvd in Vega. If you think your value is too high, you file a protest with this office.
The Tax Assessor-Collector is a separate office at 105 S. Main St. That office sends bills and collects payment. Visit oldhamcad.org for appraisal questions, or the Texas Comptroller's county directory for both offices' contact details. Rates change year to year, so check the current figures directly with the district.
