Short-Term Rental

Irving Also Requires Short-Term Rental Registration

The City of Irving requires annual registration for any short-term rental and charges hotel occupancy tax.

In Irving, a short-term rental is any residential structure, or part of one, rented for fewer than 30 consecutive days. Irving City Code Chapter 8, Article XI requires all short-term rentals to register with the city every year.

Like Dallas, Irving also requires owners to collect Hotel Occupancy Tax from guests and pay it to the city. This tax applies to each stay. Check the City of Irving's short-term rental page at irvingtx.gov for current fees, registration steps, and any rule changes. Rules can be updated, so check the official page before you list your property.
