You Need a Texas Hunting License to Hunt in Dallas County
Any hunter in Dallas County must have a valid Texas hunting license from Texas Parks and Wildlife before taking game.
Texas hunting licenses are issued by TPWD and apply statewide. Most hunting — including deer, dove, and waterfowl — requires at least a basic hunting license and, for some species, additional stamps or endorsements.
