Tom Green County offers upland game bird hunting for wild turkey, dove, and quail under TPWD regulations.
For 2025–2026, the turkey bag limit in Tom Green County is four birds per season. Fall season runs concurrent with deer season; spring gobbler season runs late March through mid-May. Mandatory harvest reporting is required — you report your kill through the TPWD app or online within a set window.
Dove hunters fall under the Central Zone with a daily limit of 15 birds (aggregate of white-winged, mourning, and white-tipped). A Migratory Game Bird Endorsement is required.
