Two Paddling Trails Run Through Downtown Waco

The Bosque Bluffs and Brazos Bridges paddling trails offer beginner-friendly canoe and kayak routes through the heart of Waco.

The Bosque Bluffs Trail is a 2.2-mile loop. The Brazos Bridges Trail is a 4.8-mile loop. Both wind through parks and riparian corridors along the Bosque and Brazos Rivers. No shuttle is needed — both are loops with multiple put-in points.

Access points include the McLennan Community College boat ramp, Brazos Park East kayak ramp, and the Bledsoe-Miller Community Center dock. Float times run about one to three hours. You may spot egrets, hawks, and turtles along the way. These trails suit beginners and experienced paddlers alike.
