Weatherford's First Monday trade days draw buyers from across the region

Weatherford holds a monthly First Monday trade day event that evolved from the courthouse court days of the 1800s.

First Monday events in Texas trace back to when district courts met once a month at the county courthouse. People came to town for court, and traders set up nearby to sell goods, animals, and supplies. Weatherford's First Monday Fair grew from this tradition.
