Deer Hunting Rules for Guadalupe County

Guadalupe County has specific deer bag limits and season dates that hunters need to know before heading out.

For the 2025-26 season, the white-tailed deer bag limit in Guadalupe County is 4 deer total — no more than 2 bucks and no more than 2 antlerless — across all seasons combined. Antler restrictions apply to one of the bucks.

Archery season generally opens in late September. General season runs November through early January. Youth and muzzleloader seasons follow in January. Seasons and limits can change — always verify at tpwd.texas.gov before hunting. Mandatory harvest reporting for antlerless deer is required.
