Hunting
Parker County has good seasons for turkey, dove, and quail
Hunters in Parker County can pursue wild turkey, dove, quail, and other upland game through most of the year.
Parker County's Cross Timbers terrain supports a variety of game birds. Dove season in the North Zone typically opens September 1 with a daily limit of 15. Quail season generally runs November through February. Wild turkey has both fall and spring seasons.
For the 2025-26 season, the spring turkey season ran from late March through early May (March 28 to May 10, 2026) with a limit of four gobblers or bearded hens. Turkey harvest must be reported through the TPWD app or website. Squirrel can be hunted almost year-round. Check tpwd.texas.gov for exact season dates and limits each year — they can change.
