Who Handles Your Property Tax in Titus County

Two separate offices handle property taxes in Titus County — one sets the value, the other collects the bill.

The Titus County Appraisal District sets the taxable value of your property. It is not the same office that sends you a tax bill. The appraisal district is at 2404 W. Ferguson Road in Mount Pleasant and can be reached at 903-572-7939. Its website is titus-cad.org.

The Tax Assessor-Collector is a separate office. That office actually collects what you owe. It is located at 110 S. Madison St. in Mount Pleasant. New residents often confuse the two. If you want to protest your property value, contact the appraisal district. If you want to pay or check your bill, contact the tax office.
