Property Tax
Fannin County Has Two Separate Tax Offices
The appraisal district sets your property value, but a separate tax assessor-collector office handles registration and some other duties — and in Fannin County, the tax assessor does not collect property taxes.
Fannin County splits property tax work between two offices. The Fannin Central Appraisal District (CAD) decides what your property is worth. That value drives what you owe. The CAD is at 831 W. State Hwy. 56 in Bonham.
The county Tax Assessor-Collector office is at 210 S. Main St. in Bonham. But the Texas Comptroller notes that this office does not collect property taxes. The CAD itself handles some collection. If you have a bill question, call the CAD first at 903-583-8701. For current tax rates, check the official sources — rates change each year.
